Job Opportunities / Pharmacist


Coordinates and participates in pharmacy services which include compounding, dispensing and safe administration of medications.


  • Registered pharmacist with a current valid state license
  • Minimum of two (2) years pharmacy experience that includes parenteral compounding
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizations skills



  • Coordinates the provision of infusion therapy services with nursing, physicians and other professional staff to ensure coordination of services consistent with treatment plan
  • Practices at all times are consistent with implemented policies and procedures and in accordance with state and federal laws and regulations
  • Maintains all appropriate required documentation for state and federal regulatory agencies
  • Completes and maintains any other required documentation
  • Assists in developing pharmacy policies and procedures
  • Receives physician prescription orders and evaluates appropriateness of dose, frequency and route of administration of fill prescriptions accurately
  • Properly compounds and dispenses parenteral medications/solutions and/or supervises and checks IV techs' work
  • Coordinates delivery of medications/product to patients
  • Properly handles and disposes of hazardous wastes
  • Assists in maintaining patient medication profiles
  • Provides information regarding medications and their safe and appropriate use to patients, nursing and other healthcare professionals involved in the patients' care
  • Assists consultant pharmacist to ensure that initial and ongoing drug therapy is properly monitored
  • Documents all communication with physician, patient, nurses and other healthcare professionals involved in the patients' care
  • Attends in-service education programs/continuing education programs concerning current advances in infusion therapy services to maintain professional competency
  • Maintains records of all continuing education
  • Participates in quality assurance program
  • Assumes other duties (including retail duties) as assigned by Pharmacy Manager
  • Assumes responsibilities of Pharmacy Manager in his/her absence
